Grand Canyon North Rim - The experience you didn't know you needed
Only 10% of people who visit the Grand Canyon go to the North Rim...

This video gives me such cozy vibes, which is exactly how I feel about this place. Since only 10% of people visit, it is so much more intimate. Less people on the trails. More places to sit down & enjoy the views. Better photo opps.. The North Rim just might be my favorite rim.

The North Rim is located at the top of Arizona, sitting at 8,000 ft elevation. You can only visit May - November because they get so much snow, the road to get into the area gets shut down December 1st.

I mentioned the road into the Grand Canyon gets covered with snow & you cannot bypass it... well the rest of the year, you might get caught in some..traffic....
Why did the buffalo cross the road?
I don't know but it took about 20 minutes!

Enjoy the view.. but don't be this guy. This is dangerous to not only him, but everyone around him. Stay in your vehicle. Wait for your opportunity to pass. If you are on a motorcycle, take even more precautions

I think something that makes me so in "awe" of the North Rim is that I did NOT expect what we saw. There was SO much greenery! So many trees & colors. It gives you that "cabin in the woods" feeling but you are literally at the Grand Canyon.
The majority of the North Rim does not have official hikes. It is more of walking down a path to look out points & photo opps. Even though it is not an official hike, make sure you bring plenty of liquid & sunscreen. When you are higher in elevation, you are at greater risk from exposure to the sun.
Another great thing about the paths are that many of them are stroller friendly - however the path can get so rest as needed while pushing the stroller or wagon.

My hope is that this blog post gave you some inspiration & excitement to visit a place that many people miss out on. I would love to hear about your trip as you experience the magic & beauty of the North Rim.
